Portfolio Company Outreach Update
In August, the Council facilitated Sen. Tim Kaine’s (D-VA) facility tour of Camber Corporation in Centerville, Virginia. On the tour, Sen. Kaine learned about the relationship between Camber Corporation and PEGCC member firm New Mountain Capital. Telling the private equity story through portfolio companies continues to be our most effective tool to explain private equity to Members of Congress. The Centerville Patch covered the event. Senator Kaine’s office tweeted to over 1,200 followers thanking the Council for hosting the Senator at Camber. Portfolio company visits provide opportunities for positive media coverage and outreach in the local community.
