Michael Lukso serves as Vice President of Government Affairs at the American Investment Council (AIC), an advocacy and research organization representing the private equity industry and promoting its successful record of investing across every state in the country. Mr. Lukso leads Democratic outreach to the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and Administration with a focus on tax and financial service policy.

Prior to joining AIC, Mr. Lukso served as a senior advisor to Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) and John Delaney (D-MD)— two leading moderate voices and thought leaders on the U.S. House Financial Services Committee. With significant congressional and campaign experience from numerous Blue Dog Democrats and New Democrats— Brad Schneider (D-IL), Rep. Heath Shuler (D-NC), Rep. Mike Quigley (D-IL), and Rep. Debbie Halvorson (D-IL)— Mr. Lukso has become a trusted voice on policy and politics among key leaders.

Mr. Lukso holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he gained his first foray into politics with the Obama for U.S. Senate campaign.
