New Video: Drew Maloney Previews AIC & Punchbowl News Event In Atlanta, GA Featuring Gov. Brian Kemp
Event Includes Fireside Chat with Zaxby’s CEO, Bernard Acoca to highlight how Private Equity Supports Jobs and Drives Growth
Atlanta, GA – On Tuesday, March 5th at 9am ET, Punchbowl News founder Anna Palmer will interview Georgia Governor Brian Kemp to discuss how private equity investments are strengthening small businesses and driving job creation in the Peach State. Georgia was recently named as the No. 1 state for business for the 10th consecutive year – and private equity has played an essential role across the state. As a small business owner himself, Governor Kemp understands the power of private investment in unlocking a small businesses value and setting it up for long-term success.
The conversation will be followed by a fireside chat with American Investment Council CEO Drew Maloney and Zaxby’s CEO Bernard Acoca discussing how private equity investments helped the beloved Georgia-founded fast casual chicken restaurant chain open more than 940 locations in 13 states.
Private equity directly backs more than 377,000 jobs in Georgia that pay more than $30 billion in wages and benefits. These investments support more than 400 small businesses, and in 2022 alone, private equity invested more than $19.2 billion in Georgia-based businesses.
